Terms of Service

Last updated: May 4, 2026

These terms govern use of SteadyFile public pages, browser-local workspace, research links, and account MVP features. By using SteadyFile, you agree to use it as documentation software and general information only.

Translations are provided for accessibility and convenience. If there is any inconsistency, the English version is the reference version unless a reviewed local version is published.

Acceptable use

SteadyFile exists to help users organize records in neutral, factual language. You remain responsible for what you enter, export, retain, and share.

  • Use SteadyFile only for records you are allowed to access, retain, enter, or disclose.
  • Do not use SteadyFile to harass, threaten, impersonate, or publish private information about another person.
  • Do not enter malware, attempt to bypass product controls, scrape the service, or interfere with availability.
  • Do not treat product wording, packet structure, or exports as legal advice, case scoring, or outcome prediction.

Accounts and security

  • Use an email account and device that you control, especially when documenting sensitive workplace records.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You are responsible for reviewing exports before using or sharing them with anyone else.
  • Account save, export, and deletion features depend on configured backend infrastructure and may change during MVP development.

User content and records

You keep ownership of the content you enter. You give SteadyFile the limited permission needed to operate, store, display, export, and delete your records in connection with the service. Do not enter records you are not permitted to use.

Third-party services

SteadyFile may link to or use services such as hosting, authentication, database, survey, and email providers. Their services may have separate terms and privacy practices.

MVP changes

SteadyFile is in validation and MVP development. Features, routes, account behavior, exports, and policies may change as the product is tested and reviewed.

Disclaimers and governing law

SteadyFile is provided as available, without warranties that it will meet every need or be uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, SteadyFile is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada, unless mandatory local consumer laws require otherwise.
